Perhaps New Age but it’s only fluff if you make it so. Personally I got a lot out of the comments surrounding ownership of who we are vs the emotions we encounter day to day. I got a lot out of this interview in general to be honest especially as a parent and observing my own kids as they come of age with their emotions. What a nice surprise because I am not new age at all. I can be skeptical about the particulars of stories but those almost feel like artifacts. Like personal translations and tangents within a greater message. The greater message is the important part, not the bits and pieces of someone else’s perception of a specific time and place in one’s experience. I think a meaningless distraction occurs when some of us grab onto those micro parts of a larger experience and then say “woooo wooooo” about the whole of it.
